Volunteer/Foster

Are you thinking about Volunteering or Fostering?

We would greatly appreciate help for the animals in the form of volunteering or becoming a foster. We have a huge need for additional foster homes for homeless kittens and/or for help trapping community cats for spay/neuter clinics.

During our work in trapping community cats, we come across abandoned and homeless cats and kittens that badly need a foster home. Kittens need a safe, comforting place to stay until they are old enough to be fixed and adopted. A mama kitty and her litter need a warm, safe place out of the elements until the kittens are weaned and we can spay mama. Can you provide a warm, safe home with lots of love and attention as they await their chance for placement?

Medical care and vaccinations are provided by us. You provide food and litter and love. Typical fostering commitments last 1 to 4 months, depending on the age and socialization when you get the kitty or kittens. This is a very rewarding experience and you will be helping us to get kittens off the streets and saving lives.

All year long we come across friendly kittens, but we also deal with feral and semi-feral kittens that can be socialized and adopted. We are in need of fosters for friendly kittens. However, we also need special fosters who can make a commitment to rehabilitate a much shyer “kitten in training” by loving, petting, and soothing the kitten in order to help with socialization which will give the kitten a chance at a forever home.
