Spay/Neuter Trapping
We always need more trapping assistance to help spay and neuter outdoor cats in East County. If you’re interested in learning how to become a trapper, we can loan equipment and teach you how to trap. Community Cats are feral, semi-feral and friendly, but they all need to be fixed.
Spay/Neuter Recovery
After Community Cats are trapped and spayed/neutered, they will need a safe, warm location where they can recover after surgery. After several days of healing they can be returned back to their colony after their surgery. Males typically require 1 night recovery and females 4 to 7 days. If there are medical issues, recovery may take longer. This is a great way to help Community Cats by allowing them time to heal before going back to their outdoor home.
